Chesapeake Tai Chi
New study findings, published in the journal JAMA Network Open, add to a large body of research pointing to the health benefits of tai chi, a wellness practice that combines slow, gentle movements and postures with mindfulness. It's often called meditation in motion.
The Chinese have found something that flows through the human body and it is called "chi." In English it roughly translates as "vital energy" or "energy force."
This chi flows through a certain path throughout the body that is referred to as meridians. Regular practice of Tai Chi moves will help open up these meridians so that chi can flow freely throughout the body. Therefore, the first benefit someone will feel from regular attendance of their Tai Chi classes is an increase in energy or life force.
Today, many people are practicing Tai Chi, it is the number one recommendation from doctors and chiropractors as one of the better ways to improve your energy, balance, muscle tone and health in general. Give Tai Chi a try and experience for yourself the great impact it can have on your life!

What People Are Saying
I have been doing martial arts for almost 40 years and belonged to numerous clubs and schools. I can say that this is a quality school. All classes are taught by a master. Most of all it is evident that the instructors truly love the art and enjoy sharing their knowledge with the students.
I wanted a program to help with flexibility, concentration, and relaxation....one that would become a life style. Tai Chi really helps with my overall health and improving my flexibility. Sigung Maury is talented, calming, and very patient with his students. And, the students encourage each other!
As a more mature martial artist, I have thoroughly enjoyed my years of training in the Tai chi program. Not only has it strengthened me physically, I find the atmosphere mentally relaxing. What a joy it is to come to class and when class is over I am energized and refreshed.
